David has worked in the Legal Expenses market for over 20 years and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has notable experience at a number of BTE and ATE insurance companies as well as most recently holding a senior management position at a leading reinsurer. David’s experience covers a wide breadth of ATE products, having insured high volume, low value claims, right through to multi–million international arbitrations. David drives Ignite’s ATE proposition forward and solidifies Ignite’s industry presence as the go-to market for ATE.

Lucinda Stormont-Sainsbury

Head of Australian Operations

Lucinda Stormont-Sainsbury is based in Sydney and has been appointed Head of Australian Operations. She is responsible for supporting Ignite’s planned expansion into Australia and developing relationships across the local insurance, legal and advisory sectors.

With more than 15 years of experience spanning underwriting, claims, private practice and in-house insurance law, Lucinda brings a unique perspective to complex risk management. Prior to joining Ignite, she served as Senior Legal Counsel at HDI Global SE, advising branches across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Dubai.

Her expertise was recognised with the award of Insurance Lawyer of the Year 2026 at the Australian Corporate Counsel Awards.
